Navetta & Trama Small
Two new masterpieces that extend the Trama family language into new forms, functions, and spatial possibilities.
Like its larger counterpart, Trama Small is conceived as a free-standing element that allows light and air to pass through, thanks to the alternation of lightly padded fabric panels and solid walnut rods, hand-crafted using traditional artisanal techniques. The spacing between elements is carefully calibrated to ensure visual balance and transparency. The piece can also be placed with its back against a wall, expanding its versatility across rooms of different shapes and sizes.

What makes Trama Small particularly compelling is the freedom it offers in terms of function. Fitted with solid walnut shelves, it becomes a bookcase; configured with a deeper surface at the base, it becomes a writing desk or vanity. The fabric panels are fully customisable in cashmere, Sherpa, cashmere-wool blends, Altai, Tiepolo wool, linen and cotton; across a wide range of colours.
With Navetta, Francesca Lanzavecchia reinterprets the classic sideboard through the same formal language that defines the Trama family: an alternating rhythm of lightly padded fabric panels and solid walnut rods. The name references the navetta (the shuttle of a loom) the element that carries the weft thread, moving swiftly and fluidly between the warp to complete the weave.
The piece bears an elegant ogival profile that directly echoes this weaving tool. The top surface is in solid walnut, while the two long sides are perfectly symmetrical;, allowing Navetta to stand freely at the centre of a room, functioning simultaneously as a storage piece and an architectural room divider. Doors, seamlessly integrated into the rhythm of panels and rods, open on the front face to reveal internal walnut shelving designed to hold tableware and glassware.
Navetta rests on slender legs that keep the body lifted from the floor, lending the piece a sense of lightness and elegance entirely in keeping with its name.
